Your impact
At Leonardo, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Logistics Material Controller within the Integrated Sensing and Protection business in Basildon. As a Logistics Material Controller you will manage the flow of material from our Logistics Hub to the Production environment, helping to ensure our manufacturing and customer support business have the materials they need, when they need them.
You will: Organise and issue materials to the manufacturing area, Maintain traceability of all materials and finished goods produced. Organise the return to vendor of faulty or incorrect materials. Carry out perpetual inventory counting tasks, Generate and manage works orders for new build and repair activities. Generation of shipping documentation, Booking of UK and export shipments via freight forwarders/couriers, Organising the processing of customer repairs, Monitoring of shelf life products, Control and reporting of Government furnished assets, Inventory Management,
What you'll bring
You will have prior experience of working in a manufacturing, logistics or similar environment. Ideally you will be experience in some of the following areas: Use of SAP or other ERP/MRP system, Warehouse inventory control, Dispatching/Shipping of products including working with courier and shipping companies to book transport, Export compliance, Dangerous goods movement, Fork Truck and/or Reach truck use
This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above. The most important skill is a good attitude and willingness to learn.

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government's Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
