Logistics Operative (export packer)

15.50 - 18.00p/h
I am working with my client based in West Yorkshire who require an Export Packer to join the business on an initial 6-month fixed term contract. My client design installs and manufacture process capital equipment.
For the position of Export Packer, you will be required to conduct the following duties:
- Pick, pack, and prepare machinery and components for shipment, including designing and assembling packing crates.
- Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, slide loaders, and other lifting equipment.
- Load and unload export containers and company vehicles efficiently.
- Maintain stock levels of packing materials and timber and keep storage and working areas tidy.
- Follow Safe Systems of Work and assist with any additional logistics or operational tasks as needed.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Knowledge of packing machinery, picking processes, and logistics best practice.
- FLT and slide-loader licences, with ability to operate lifting equipment safely.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
