Our Logistics & Mail Team play a crucial role in keeping our campus running smoothly, managing all vehicle movements and deliveries while maintaining safety, sustainability, and accessibility for staff, students, and visitors.
About the role
We're looking for a motivated and safety-conscious Logistics Operative (Traffic Marshal) to join our friendly team. You'll be responsible for:
Managing vehicle access to our Bloomsbury campus via a booking-in system
Marshalling vehicles in line with UCL's Traffic Management Plan
Ensuring the safety of pedestrians and other road users
Supporting essential deliveries, from lab equipment to catering supplies
Helping to uphold UCL's sustainability goals by reducing unnecessary vehicle movements
This is a hands-on role where you'll be at the heart of campus operations--keeping things moving while protecting the safety and experience of our community.
About you
You'll bring:
Experience working in a traffic marshalling, security, or logistics role (training can be provided)
A strong focus on safety, awareness, and clear communication
The ability to work independently and as part of a small, dedicated team
A professional and approachable manner when interacting with a diverse range of people
