Main Activity

Providing our customers and donors with exceptional care and service, in a friendly and professional manner. Responsibly and safely drive a 3.5 tonne luton van, with proficiency using a tail lift and GPS software. Act as an ambassador of the charity, enthusiastically championing the gift aid system and encouraging uptake of this with our donors. Play a key part in the safe delivery and collection of furniture and other household goods. Liaise with onsite Admin and Sales staff to communicate clearly regarding any customer issues or complications. Regular maintenance of the vehicle, including daily checks and cleaning. Efficiently load furniture and other household goods into the van, securing them well for transit. Occasionally be required to collect stock from our suppliers across the UK, or help within our house clearances operation. This will only be during normal operating hours. Aiding in waste processing and recycling. Assist in other areas of the charity, as per the business needs.
Your Qualities and Experience

You must have a full UK driver's license and be able to drive a 3.5 tonne luton van to be considered for this role. Full training will be given, but experience is preferred. A positive attitude and a team mentality. Willing to go the 'extra mile' in support of customers and other staff members. Physically fit and capable of manual labour.Your Qualities and Experience (cont.) Literate in use of mobile devices and computers for use of route planning software and delivery systems. Previous Manual Handling and Health and Safety training is preferred. Understanding or experience of the charity sector is preferred. Strong people skills, prioritising clear communication and integrity. Proactive with an ability to use your initiative Sympathetic to the Christian ethos and values of our charity.
