Logistics Operator (Goods In)

About the Role
Do you hold a forklift truck licence? Do you have experience of working on a busy integrated distribution centre? Are you able to work shifts? If so, our Logistics operator role at our Ashton-in-Makerfield site may be just the opportunity you are looking for.
This role operates on a 5 shift pattern, which is 4 on 6 off (2 days X 12 hours, 2 nights X 12 hours, 6 off)
What You Will Do
As a Logistics Operator, you'll play a key role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and safely. Your responsibilities will include:
Strict adherence to all Essity Health & Safety regulations, operating procedures, and systems.
Completing daily safety checks on all Fork Lift Truck (FLT) equipment before each shift and reporting any faults.
Work within Essity safety standards with a responsibility for others too
Load and unload and check (raw) material or Finish Goods visually for damage, quantity and description
Block damaged raw material or material deviating in quantity or description
Prepare supply RM/FG for production lines
Remove production waste and return blocked (raw) material and blocked FG products
Cycle count RM/FG stock based on demanded intervals and quantities
Store and allocate (raw) material, return, blocking, waste, FG products, recycled material with the right location code
Complete all required documentation and data files during unload, store, remove and cycle count
Own and maintain forklift truck and other logistic handling equipment
Maintain optimal housekeeping in warehouse
Who You Are
We're looking for someone who brings energy, reliability, and a safety-first mindset to the team. Ideally, you'll have:
A strong commitment to Health & Safety.
Valid FLT licences (Counterbalance / Reach).
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Confidence to work independently and manage your own workload.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems.
Exposure to Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
A flexible and proactive approach to shift work.
