Due to continued expansion, we are now looking for a motivated and reliable Northern Logistics Operator to join our logistics team delivering loft ladders and associated products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a hands-on environment.

The Role

Based at our Preston Distribution Centre, you'll play a key role in managing deliveries and warehouse operations for our northern region. Your main responsibilities will include: Starting your day at our Tarleton Distribution Centre, logging into our cloud-based logistics system, and printing your daily picking list. Picking and loading customer orders onto a Sprinter-sized van. Completing daily delivery routes typically 4-5 drops per day across the South, covering up to 250 miles per route. Delivering to approximately 50 fitters on a fixed two-weekly rotation. Receiving, checking, and unloading bulk stock deliveries once or twice per month. Managing stock levels and reporting updates or concerns to the Logistics Manager. Maintaining accurate records and ensuring stock is correctly organised within the warehouse. Operating a forklift as needed (training provided if not certified). Keeping your company van in clean and in serviceable condition Because this warehouse operates without permanent on-site staff, this role requires someone who can take ownership, manage their time effectively, and work independently.

About You

Essential requirements: Full UK driving licence Aged 25 and over Minimum 3 years' driving experience Strong attention to detail Physically fit and active Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy Able to work independently with minimal supervision Desirable (preferred) skills: Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or courier work Forklift Operators Certificate (training available if needed) Experience using Microsoft Office or other business software systems
