as a

Logistics Planner

within our Regional Customer Centre.

In this pivotal role, you'll be the heartbeat of our logistics network - planning and coordinating deliveries of aggregates and asphalt across the region to ensure everything runs like clockwork. Working closely with our sales, customer service, and operations teams, you'll help balance efficiency, cost, and customer satisfaction every single day.

What You'll Be Doing

Delivering optimised and integrated road logistics planning for aggregates and asphalt in line with business KPIs and SLAs. Building strong relationships with our valued haulage partners - both franchise and external - to ensure consistent, high-quality service. Deploying haulage resources effectively to fulfil customer orders, maximising benefit for both our business and our clients. Liaising daily with customer service representatives to anticipate and resolve potential service issues or plant breakdowns. Negotiating haulage rates and ensuring accurate contract information is maintained. Reviewing, maintaining, and operating our logistics planning tools to support smooth and efficient operations. Sharing real-time information about potential transport restrictions with commercial and customer service teams. Maintaining compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across operations.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally. Confidence in using IT systems and tools - knowledge of logistics planning or tracking platforms is a plus.
