Rotating shifts on a 2 week basis, sharing with another shift supervisor

(2 weeks of 6am-2pm then 2 weeks of 2pm-10pm)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee operations within our loading and logistics environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of logistics and forklift loading. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high standards of safety, and fostering a productive work atmosphere.

Duties

Supervise forklift drivers with loading, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures to make sure safe loading is adhered to. Assisting Transport Manager with planning deliveries. Oversee loading and loads are loaded in accordance to customers needs Ensure warehouse is kept in a clean and safe manner Assist Transport Manager with compliance on vehicles and trailers Finalising delivery paperwork correctly ready for invoicing. Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Experience dealing with forklift drivers and loading Logistics experience with routing/planning Understanding of driver hours/compliance Good geographical knowledge Good time keeping and time management Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making within a fast-paced environment.

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
