The Shipping Export Control License Specialist & Export Team Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all international shipments comply with applicable export control laws and regulations. This role involves managing export licenses, coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders, and leading the export team to ensure timely and compliant delivery of goods across global markets. requirements
Responsibilities
Export Control & Licensing:

• Ensure compliance with international export control regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, UK Export Control Order, EU Dual-Use Regulation).
• Prepare, submit, and manage export license applications and authorizations.
• Maintain accurate records of licenses, shipments, and compliance documentation.
• Conduct export classification (ECCN, Schedule B, HS codes) and screening of customers and destinations.
• Monitor license usage and ensure adherence to license conditions and expiration dates.

Shipping & Documentation:

• Oversee the preparation of shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.).
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers to ensure smooth export operations.
• Resolve shipping issues, delays, or compliance concerns proactively.

Team Coordination:

• Collaborate with sales, legal, engineering, and supply chain teams to align export activities with business goals.

Audits & Reporting:

• Support internal and external audits related to export compliance.
• Generate reports on export activities, license usage, and compliance metrics.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of export control regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, UK/EU export laws).
• Experience with export license management
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Dangerous Goods by Air Trained.
