We are glad to offer an exciting opportunity to join an established and growing Automotive Logistics Company based in our Maidstone branch. Our business moved 15,000+ vehicles last annum around the UK for retailers and manufacturers with expectations of growth this coming year. We specialize in delivering new and used ve hicles to customers, but also between dealerships, from auction sites and everything in between.
The ideal candidate for this role is a dynamic, personable, and meticulously organized individual with strong IT and communication skills with motivation to grow and thrive in a fast paced business setting. They would be expected to help in the continued growth of the business through, but not exclusively by, supporting our Logistics planning and Administrative teams.
The successful applicant will join the team at our Maidstone branch and assist in managing our team of 75+ trade plate and trailer drivers, ensuring their safety and compliance, handling incoming calls from the team, sending out job assignments and a host of other tasks.
This is a varied and fulfilling role which gives the successful candidate the opportunity (with hands on assistance from our senior team) to contribute to the continued success of the business and alongside it, with a clear line of role progression mapped out.
You will be trained to gain competencies in different key skills, such as building a network of clients and contacts within the industry, working within teams, understanding compliance and regulation, managing ongoing movements and assisting management of the driver team on a day to day basis.
Providing a professional and reliable service to our customers is of paramount importance therefore a friendly, punctual, dependable, and organized approach is essential to succeed.
This is a busy environment however, we like to have fun and upon achievement of branch targets there are regular group incentives.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the team to ensure the booking and fulfillment and completion of work to be carried out by our driver team.
- Assist in management of the driver team. Handling incoming calls, managing queries and ensuring succinct communication.
- Help the branch to meet and over achieve on targets.
- Communicate with clients and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills. You will be required to communicate with clients, customer and drivers by phone, email and at times face to face.
- Ability to work well with and support your team members.
- Organized with a strong attention to detail
- To be versatile and resilient, in busy periods you will need to take on additional responsibilities
- Competent IT skills, you will be using various systems in your day to day. Microsoft, Adobe and Web based bespoke.
