About this role:



The Logistics Team Leader supports seamless logistical operations across all public catering and hospitality areas at Selhurst Park. Acting as the link between operatives and management, the role supervises stock movement, deliveries, and setups on matchdays and events, ensuring safety, organisation, and efficiency at all times.

Responsibilities:



Team Leadership



Lead, motivate, and support logistics operatives during matchdays, events, and preparation. Oversee shift planning, task allocation, and performance. Act as first point of contact for the logistics team in the absence of a supervisor/manager. Promote a professional, team-focused culture.

Operational Delivery



Ensure accurate and timely delivery, setup, and retrieval of stock and equipment. Support stock movements between areas, ensuring items are securely stored. Communicate effectively with other departments to meet event-day requirements. Ensure safe use of manual handling techniques and PPE.

Stock & Equipment



Assist the Stock Controller with stock-takes, wastage, and consumption records. Keep storage areas tidy, organised, and compliant with safety standards. Monitor and report on logistics equipment (trolleys, radios, PPE, etc.). Report discrepancies, theft, or damage promptly.

Compliance & Standards



Maintain safe working practices in line with club and legal standards. Report hazards, near misses, or incidents immediately. Secure restricted areas in line with club guidelines

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:



Key attributes



Organised, reliable, and hands-on with attention to detail. Clear communicator who can stay calm under pressure. Problem solver with a proactive attitude.d Ability to work in physically demanding role.

Essential



Experience in logistics, stock handling, or event operations. Ability to lead a small team. Strong knowledge of health & safety and manual handling. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Desirable



Previous supervisory experience in a similar setting. Manual handling or first aid training. Experience with EPOS systems or stock tracking tools. Background in stadium, venue, or large-scale catering logistics.
