Overview

We're looking for a

Logistics Technician

to join our Field Operations team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the safe collection, transportation, storage, and return of policyholder contents. The work involves accurate inventory management, secure handling of items, and delivering outstanding customer service.

All documentation must be completed accurately and in full the first time, as incomplete records are treated as a serious health and safety risk.

As part of our One Team, One Purpose ethos, you'll also support other departments (Water, Fire, Strip-Out, Contents) and uphold our commitment to Excellence as Our Standard. The role requires participation in the on-call rota (including weekends) and flexibility during surge events, where additional commitment is expected to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

Collections & Deliveries

- review daily manifests, load vehicles safely, confirm ETA with policyholders, collect and return items securely, and record inventories with 100% accuracy in Encircle.

Customer Service

- provide professional and respectful service, explain processes clearly, handle items with care, confirm collections/returns with digital signatures, and minimise disruption in occupied homes.

Compliance & Safety

- complete job packs and H&S forms accurately, conduct daily vehicle safety checks (tyres, fluids, lights, load restraints), and follow PPE/manual handling procedures at all times.

Cross-Team Support

- assist Fire, Water, Strip-Out, and Contents teams when required, and provide flexible cover during surge events and on-call duties.

Equipment & Vehicles

- maintain clean and compliant vans, keep stock of blankets/wraps/packing materials, and report equipment or vehicle defects immediately.

Qualifications

Full UK Driving Licence (Essential). DBS Check (Essential). BAR training (or willingness to achieve).

Progression Pathway & Pay

Starting Salary: 27,500

Technician - 27,500 Lead Technician - 28,500 BAR Training - 30,000 Senior Lead Technician (3+ years) - 31,000
