Job Summary

We are looking for a driver to join our team and assist our current driver with some of the long distance deliveries. The role can be either a full time or part time role. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, is highly desirable. The role will also encompass assisting in the workshop with product assembly for customer orders when required.

Duties

Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while maintaining accurate delivery records. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transport. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain a clean driving record and comply with company policies regarding safety and operational procedures.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) is essential. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Experience with flatbed lorries is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding loading/unloading processes. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and responsibility in all tasks undertaken.
