Key Responsibilities:

Safely load, secure, transport, and unload heavy machinery. Operate low loaders, flatbeds, or HIAB (Hydraulic Lorry-mounted Crane) vehicles. Plan and follow safe, legal routes for oversized or heavy loads. Carry out daily walkaround checks of the lorry (brakes, lights, tires, etc.). Ensure plant machinery is safe, undamaged, and correctly positioned during transport. Report any vehicle or equipment defects. Use chains, straps, or other restraints to properly secure equipment. Operate ramps, winches, or cranes if necessary. Comply with load weight limits and load securing regulations. Maintain delivery/collection notes and vehicle logs. Ensure permits, tachographs, and transport documents are accurate. Report journey records, hours of service, and vehicle condition. Follow all road safety and traffic laws. Adhere to company procedures and industry regulations. Wear proper PPE and follow site-specific safety protocols. Liaise with site personnel for delivery and collection coordination. Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

Valid HGV Class 1 or 2 licence. CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence). Experience transporting plant machinery. Good geographical knowledge and route planning skills. Understanding of load securing and health & safety standards.

Pay: 28,000.00-33,000.00 per year
