Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various driving roles, including flatbed transport, and delivery services. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Strong communication skills and mechanical knowledge are essential for this role.

Duties

Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Transport goods to designated locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Load and unload cargo, using appropriate equipment and techniques to prevent damage. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption. Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for lorry operation. Previous experience as a Van Driver or Delivery Driver is preferred. Familiarity with flatbed transport is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
