Lorry Driver - Twickenham Plant Centre

We're looking for a reliable and experienced

Lorry Driver

to join our friendly team at

Twickenham Plant Centre

, a leading supplier of plants and landscaping materials across London.

About the Lorry -

The lorry is a DAF RIGID 18 tonne with a HIAB crane. This has a hook not a cradle.

About the Role -

- The role would consist of multi drops deliveries of pallets of turf and bulk bags which contain topsoil and aggregates also sometimes plants.

- Multi drop role with on average 6-9 drops per day

- Delivery is to the kerb or front drive/garden with the use of the HIAB crane. There are sometimes special requirements which may involve lifting over a fence or behind the property as an example.

- Assist the yard person in the loading of the lorry at our base and secure the load to make sure it is safe.

- You will follow a delivery plan

- Customer facing role

- Manual Handling involved

- You will also be required to drive and deliver for the sister nursery and the landscape division when needed. (Sister Nursery in Ottershaw)

- When not driving you will be required to work on the nursery.

Qualifications / Skills and Licences -

- Class 2/ Category C license

- Allmi/NPORS lorry loading card for HIAB & Hook

- Full clean drivers licence

- Driver has full driving hours available

- Customer service experience

Hours - 6.30am -4.15pm Monday - Friday

Over time would be require where necessary and alternative Saturdays between March - June - subject to demand. Weekend work paid at time and a half.

Salary

- 38,000 - 42,000 depending on experience
