Loss Prevention Officer
Job Description
As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will play a key role in protecting people, stock, and reputation. Working as part of a close-knit team, you will focus on internal staff training, conducting investigations into suspected misconduct, fraud or theft, and supporting Sussex Police with prosecutions. You will be involved in both on-site and remote operations, with regular travel required between our locations. This position demands discretion, initiative, and strong organisational skills. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of security awareness across the business, including staff training and the daily operation of our CCTV and security systems.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct investigations independently and confidentially Liaise directly with Sussex Police on ongoing cases and prosecutions Deliver staff training on loss prevention and security awareness Monitor and review CCTV footage in line with legal protocols Support day-to-day operations across multiple sites Carry out both on-site and remote surveillance and investigations Maintain accurate and secure records of all investigations and incidents
Essential Requirements
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites Experience using CCTV systems Strong organisational and record-keeping skills Ability to work independently and manage investigations with discretion Proficient in English and Maths
Desirable (Training Provided)
:Use of Artificial Intelligence tools for security Experience with Biometric Security Systems Familiarity with AES (Advanced Electronic Security) Systems Knowledge of covert surveillance operations
Duration
Full time with alternate weekend working rota.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 28,000.00-32,000.00 per year
