Lovingly Artisan is a creative sourdough bakery based near Kendal on the edge of the Lake District. We are dedicated to crafting exceptional sourdough bread and artisan bakes.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and customer-orientated Shop Assistant to join our small team in the lovely bread store. This is a role that requires excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills and early morning starts.

Job role:

Selling Lovingly Artisan products in the bread store, a wide range of sourdough loaves, pastries, focaccia, plus plenty more!

- Ensuring the shop is stylish and presentable following the display guidelines

- Stock control: re-stocking, stock rotation and presentation of stock

- Maintaining a clean and tidy space at all times

- Start of day set up and end of day clean down

- Interact with customers via our phone, taking phone orders

- Using point of sale

- Training will be provided

- Working Tuesday - Saturday (Tuesday-Thursday 7:30-16:30, Friday-Saturday 7:00-16:30)

- Hourly wage: from 12.21/hour

Suitable candidate:

- Reliable and flexible

- Excellent communication skills

- Can work as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment

- Can deliver first class customer service and quality performance

- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively

- Ability to sell products and upsell to customers
