THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR UPTO 18 MONTHS DUE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE



This is an exciting new opportunity with the Bridgend Locality Primary Care Mental Health Support Service. The existing team includes Assessor Practitioners and Primary Care and High Intensity Therapists. The role aims to improve access to low intensity interventions, providing intervention in line with the Mental Health Measure (2010) . The primary mental health support service offers Assessment, advice, information & treatment for condition specific mental health issues.



To effectively manage a defined group of clients under the supervision of the LPMHSS Senior Therapist. To participate in the delivery of a range of evidence based therapeutic interventions on a 1:1 and group basis with the supervision and support of relevant members of the Local Primary Mental Health Support Service. This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency ', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
