About the role
In this role, you will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on the English curriculum. Working under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo, you'll assist with learning in the classroom, deliver targeted interventions, and provide both academic and emotional support to students, individually or in small groups. You'll help prepare resources, track progress, and contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.
This is permanent role needed 35.5 hours per week for 36 weeks during term-time.
Who we are looking for:
You are a confident and compassionate individual with strong communication skills and a passion for helping students succeed--particularly in English. You have GCSEs (including English and Maths at grade C or above) and ideally A-levels or equivalent qualifications. Experience working with Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils, especially in English support, is highly desirable. You understand how to adapt learning to meet individual needs and are comfortable using ICT to enhance education. With a patient, nurturing manner and a collaborative mindset, you're ready to make a lasting impact in a supportive school environment.
