You will play a critical role in owning and leading the development of our Lubrication Management service line, supporting our Expanded Services strategy, spearheading the development of our Lubrication Management programme, and providing invaluable support to our global sales teams.

As the SME, you will be the go-to authority within our organization, providing unparalleled expertise and support to our clients and colleagues worldwide. Your profound technical expertise and analytical prowess will be instrumental in providing expert guidance and consulting services to our clients. Duties & Responsibilities

1. Service Line Ownership

Lead the service definition, design, and documentation. Shape the commercial model. Gain recognition as the global John Crane Subject Matter Expert (SME) for lubrication services.

2. Client Engagement:

Engage with clients to grasp their lubrication objectives and challenges, using these to continuously improve the service offering. Conduct high level lubrication consultancy, including lubrication management assessments, to identify gaps and improvement opportunities. Provide guidance on all aspects of lubrication management.

3. Empower Teams through Training:

Develop and deliver training to enhance the understanding and application of lubrication best practices for clients and John Crane colleagues. Mentor clients and colleagues on lubrication management techniques, fostering a continuous improvement culture.

4. Trusted Advisor and Business Growth:

Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor for lubrication management. Identify upselling opportunities. Collaborate with business development and SME colleagues to pursue new consulting ventures.

The Individual

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering and rotating equipment lubrication principles. Machinery Lubrication Engineer certification preferred or MLA II minimum.

Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data, assess lubricant conditions, and optimize practices.

Problem-Solving: Skilled in identifying and resolving complex lubrication challenges.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with standards, best practices, and emerging trends.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with clients.

Training and Mentorship: Experience in developing and delivering training programmes.

Project Management: Capable of overseeing multiple projects effectively.

Continuous Learning: Committed to staying updated with the latest advancements.

Business Acumen: Understanding of the commercial impact of lubrication services.

Experience: Proven track record of successful lubrication management projects.
