Lunch Cover Assistant

to join our friendly team and support children during the midday period.

The Role

As a Lunch Cover Assistant, you'll play an important part in the children's day -- helping with mealtimes, supporting routines, and ensuring a calm, caring atmosphere while permanent staff take their breaks.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting children during lunch and rest periods. Helping with nappy changes, toileting, and general care routines. Creating a calm and positive environment during transitions. Ensuring health, safety, and hygiene standards are upheld. Engaging with children through warm, responsive interactions.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Kind, patient, and reliable. Confident working with children under 5. A good communicator and team player. Able to follow routines and work flexibly across age groups.

Desirable:

Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification. Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting.
