Job Summary

The Lunch Cover Practitioner plays a vital role in providing high-quality care and supervision for children during their lunch period. This position is essential for ensuring a safe and engaging environment where children can enjoy their meals and participate in various activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with young children, fostering their development through positive interactions and structured play.

Duties

Supervise children during lunch, ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist children with meal times, promoting healthy eating habits and good table manners. Engage children in fun and educational activities during lunch breaks, encouraging social interaction and teamwork. Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents to ensure a harmonious environment. Manage any behavioural issues with patience and understanding, applying appropriate strategies to maintain order. Support the overall nursery team by contributing to a positive atmosphere and assisting with daily routines as needed.

Skills

Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to drive initiatives that promote children's development through engaging activities. Proven experience managing groups of children effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment.

Pay: 12.95-13.50 per hour
