We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant to support our team in providing exceptional care and education for children. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children. The Assistant will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment that fosters learning and development.
The role will include working Monday to Friday, from 11am until 2pm. During this time, you will relieve other staff members so they can take their breaks and will help serve lunch to the children and tidy up afterwards.
Overtime may also be available on an ad-hoc basis.
Responsibilities
Support the lead educator in managing classroom dynamics and ensuring a safe, engaging atmosphere.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery environment.
Supervise children during lunchtime and playtime, ensuring their safety and promoting positive interactions.
Collaborate with team members to develop strategies that enhance children's learning experiences.
Qualifications
Previous experience in childcare or nursery settings is highly desirable.
A background in early childhood education or related fields is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
Experience working with children of various ages, demonstrating patience and understanding.
