Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lunch time Assistant to support our team in providing exceptional care for the children. The ideal candidate will need to work well as part of a team in a busy childcare environment. Experience with babies and young children is desired. This role requires excellent communication abilities and a passion for working with children in a nurturing environment.

Duties

Assist in the daily operations of the nursery over the lunch time periods, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children. Support babies and young children with eating and drinking. Including feeding where required. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting. Set up and serve lunch for children. Clean areas, dishes etc after lunch time periods. Support staff members in the care of children when needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children, preferably in a nursery or early childhood education setting desirable. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for children. Relevant qualifications in childcare are advantageous but not essential.
