About the role
St Margaret's Preparatory School is looking for a Lunchtime Assistant to join our dedicated team and help maintain our beautiful 7-acre grounds in Gosfield, North Essex. In this role, you will play an important role in ensuring pupils aged 2 to 11 enjoy a safe, happy, and active lunch break. You will supervise children in the playground, dining hall, and occasionally in classrooms during wet play, encouraging positive play and supporting social interactions. You'll help create a calm, caring atmosphere while promoting good behaviour, inclusion, and wellbeing.
Who we are looking for:
You are enthusiastic, approachable, and enjoy working with children. Whether you're supporting play activities or helping a child in need of first aid, you remain calm, proactive, and caring. You understand the importance of safety, inclusion, and respect, and you're confident applying school policies consistently and fairly. Experience working with children is essential, and you'll either hold or be willing to work towards a First Aid qualification. Above all, you're a reliable team player with a flexible attitude and a genuine commitment to the welfare of children.
