We are currently looking to hire a Lunchtime assistant to create learning experiences for preschool-aged children. The Lunch time assistant will be responsible for planning, organising and implementing a variety of educational activities, and will be teaching young children in a classroom, as well as supervising meal time provisions and supporting our health and nutrition policy. The ideal candidate for this position has knowledge about children's development, classroom management skills and is able to create a positive environment for the children.
Qualifications and experience in childcare is desirable, but not essential. You must be able to work independently and use initiative in any given situation. A typical working week will compromise flexible shift working, Monday to Friday; contracted 15 hours with some flexibility.
Responsibilities:
Promote the development of children using established practices of early childhood education and care.
Promote health and nutrition during meal times.
Provide effective child care services.
Encourage learning through play based activities, following our In the Moment planning approach.
Establish a warm, caring, developmentally enriched environment for children.
Maintain a positive environment through enriched interactions with children and team members.
Maintain good personal health and hygiene standards.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From 11,270.00 per year
Expected hours: 17 - 25 per week
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
No weekends
