Lunch Time Assistant - Whitechapel - Part Time - Specialist SEN Primary School

We are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Lunch Time Assistant to join our partnered Specialist SEN Primary School based in Whitechapel. This part time position runs Monday to Friday, 12pm-1:30pm, term time only, and is ideal for anyone looking to gain hands-on experience in a Specialist environment supporting students with a range of disabilities including PMLD, ASD, visual impairments and more.

As a Lunch Time Assistant in this Specialist SEN Primary School in Whitechapel, you will receive high-quality training designed to help you grow your confidence, develop new skills and kick-start a long-term career in education. Once you have settled into your role, there is also the opportunity to take on additional hours if desired. This is a brilliant entry route into the education sector with clear career progression into classroom support, therapy assistance, teaching support and wider SEN roles.

Please note: This role includes some aspects of personal care.

Daily duties include:

Supporting pupils during lunchtime in a safe, positive and structured way Assisting with mobility, feeding and personal care where required Encouraging positive social interactions and developing communication skills Supervising play activities and promoting inclusion for all pupils Helping maintain a calm and supportive lunchtime environment Working closely with the Specialist SEN Primary School team to ensure student wellbeing
