We are seeking an individual with a caring and flexible approach to provide support during lunch breaks and the extended lunch period.? You will be required to assist with setting out tables for lunch, assist the children with eating their lunch and ensure that the lunch area is clean and tidy for the afternoon session. You will also be required to ensure that the children are engaged in suitable activities that may involve supervising the children inside and outside of the building.
With previous experience of working with children with special educational needs and disabilities, you will have the ability to work in a team environment and be committed to getting the best outcomes for children. You will be able to adapt and work flexibly to support the individual needs of our pupils, for example you will be able to run and move quickly to support our pupils during their break times. This could be getting down to floor level to play alongside them, engaging in a physical activity outdoors in the playground or supporting toilet routines including the changing of soiled clothing and nappies. You will also be required to physically support with the lifting and movement of large tables for lunch, setting up and taking down tables and setting out and stacking chairs.
