Job Description

The Willows Primary School are looking to appoint enthusiastic, friendly and committed Lunchtime Organisers to join our dedicated and supportive team.

Position:

Lunchtime Organiser

Location:

Haveley Hey Community School, Nearbrook Road, Manchester, M22 9NS

Contract:

Part time, Term-time only, Permanent

Working Pattern:

Monday to Friday, 1 hour 45 mins per day

Salary Details:

Grade 1 Point 2, 24,413 per annum

Actual Salary:

Grade 1 Point 2, 5,115.10 per annum

Closing Date:

12pm, 21 January 2026

About the role:



The role of the Lunchtime Organiser is to ensure that the children have a safe and happy environment to enjoy their meal and playtime.

Duties include:

To supervise pupils in the dining area/s and elsewhere as required by the Senior Leadership Team.

To support children on the playground and engage them in games

To help create an atmosphere so that the meal and lunchtime recreation is a pleasant experience for pupils and staff.

To engage the children in conversation about their food and healthy eating habits and promoting an atmosphere so that the meal and lunchtime is a pleasant experience for pupils and staff.

Taking pupils who have minor accidents or are unwell for first aid where necessary, and if first aid is not necessary, comforting and reassuring them.

To report more serious accidents to the Senior Lunchtime Organiser or the designated first aider situated at the main office.

Where the need arises, for instance with young children, or children with special needs, attending to their physical needs such as hand washing, feeding and toileting.

Follow school safeguarding policies at all times and report concerns to a member of the safeguarding team.

Is passionate about being a duty bearer for children to have their rights met.

The post holder reports to the Senior Lunchtime Organiser, other main contacts are the Head of School, Deputy Head and pupils.
