About the Role

We are looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team at a school in Lurgan. The role has two distinct parts: supervising lunchtime from 12:20 pm to 2:00 pm, then cleaning the school site from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities

Lunchtime Supervisor (12:20pm-2:00pm):

Supervise pupils in the dining hall and adjacent areas during lunchtime. Help maintain order, encourage positive behaviour and assist pupils as needed. Ensure the dining area is left tidy and safe before the cleaning shift begins.

Cleaning Operative (2:30pm-5:30pm):

Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas. Sanitise desks, door handles and other high-touch points. Empty bins and remove waste, ensuring proper disposal. Clean and fully restock toilets with soap, toilet paper etc. Use cleaning equipment safely and in line with health & safety guidelines. Ensure all cleaning work is completed to a high standard and oversee the finishing of the shift until 5:30pm.

About You

Previous cleaning experience is preferred (especially in a school or facilities environment). Good attention to detail and strong cleaning standards. Ability to supervise children responsibly and manage the lunchtime period calmly. Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work both early afternoon and later afternoon hours. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have the legal right to work in the UK and be willing to undergo required vetting for working in a school environment.
