DS Movers is a trusted, BAR-accredited removals and relocation company operating across local, national, and international moves. We take pride in our exceptional customer service, safety standards, and professional team. As we expand, we are seeking a capable Luton Van Driver to join our growing team.

We are looking for a dependable and experienced Luton Van Driver to manage the transport of goods such as furniture, machinery and artwork from our warehouse and clients' properties to various locations. This hands-on role combines driving, teamwork, and customer service and is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and physical work.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Driving & Route Management



Safely operate a Luton van across various locations. Mainly based in the North of Ireland but can be required to travel to the South. Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries and collections. Conduct pre-departure and end-of-day vehicle checks on the I-Pad. Maintain cleanliness and legal compliance of the van.

2. Loading, Unloading & Handling



Load and unload goods including furniture, boxed items, and equipment. Use appropriate manual handling techniques and tools (trolleys, straps, blankets). Assist with furniture dismantling and reassembly when required. Handle fragile or high-value items with care.

3. On-Site Job Delivery



Represent DS Movers in a professional and courteous manner. Communicate clearly with customers about arrival times and delivery expectations. Support porters and supervisors in job setup and execution. Use iPads to log job updates, vehicle inspections, and customer sign-offs.

4. Warehouse & Operational Support



Work with the warehouse team to organise goods for delivery or storage. Help keep the vehicle loading area and warehouse tidy and safe. Report damage, delays, or issues promptly to the Operations Manager or Supervisor.

5. Health & Safety



Conduct risk assessments before each job. Ensure all operations are in line with Health & Safety and BAR standards. Use PPE as required and ensure team members do the same.

Candidate Profile:



Essential:



Full UK driving licence (preferably clean). Experience driving Luton vans or similar-sized vehicles. Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting. Excellent time management and navigation skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Team player with a proactive attitude.

Desirable:



Previous experience in removals, deliveries, or logistics. Familiarity with manual handling best practices. Experience using iPads or digital job reporting tools. Forklift licence or CPC certification (bonus but not essential).
