About the Role
As the
Fragrance Business Manager for Ormonde Jayne Brent Cross
, you will be the ambassador for one of Britain's most prestigious perfume houses, known for its craftsmanship, creativity, and understated luxury.
You will be accountable for driving sales performance, elevating brand presence, and ensuring an exceptional client experience that reflects ethos of Ormonde Jayne. Through your leadership, business insight, and passion for fine fragrance, you will bring the brand's story to life for every client who visits.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Performance
Lead and manage the Ormonde Jayne counter within Fenwick Brent Cross to achieve and exceed sales and profitability targets.
Analyse business trends and customer insights to create strategic action plans for growth.
Collaborate with Ormonde Jayne Head Office and Fenwick management to deliver impactful events, product launches, and activations.
Maintain exceptional standards of product presentation and visual merchandising, in line with both Ormonde Jayne and Fenwick guidelines.
Accurate completion of reporting, meeting deadlines set by Ormonde Jayne and Fenwick
Accountable for any in-store promotional activities, driving additional sales and leading team to success
Client Experience & Relationship Building
Deliver a world-class, personalised service that reflects the luxury heritage of Ormonde Jayne.
Build and nurture lasting relationships with clients, including VIPs and fragrance connoisseurs, through expert storytelling and clientelling.
Fully utilize all available tools such as personal shopping, VIP rooms, and exclusive shopping areas.
Operations & Standards
Ensure operational excellence across all areas, including stock management, compliance, and grooming standards.
Liaise with Selfridges' operations and merchandising teams to ensure smooth daily running of the counter.
Produce regular business reports and insights to inform strategic decision-making.
About You
Proven experience in fragrance, beauty, or luxury retail management -- ideally within a premium or niche fragrance house.
A deep appreciation for fine perfumery, craftsmanship, and British luxury.
Strong commercial awareness with a results-driven approach and the ability to interpret and act on business data.
A natural leader and brand ambassador, with excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills.
A problem solver, forward thinker, and high achiever with a hunger to succeed.
Effective communicator at all levels, adapting communication styles to achieve business goals.
Passionate about delivering an exceptional, personalised client experience and building long-term relationships.
Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced retail environment.
Job Requirements
Experience working as a Business Manager or significant experience in Account Management.
Previous sales experience in a similar industry with sales targets.
A passion for fragrance, beauty, and luxury brands.
Flexibility to work weekends and some late finishes.
Management-level experience in a similar role.
