Job Description

We are seeking skilled LV/HV Scottish Power Jointers and Mates to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical networks.

The ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and demonstrate proficiency in various technical skills related to computer networking and equipment repair.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) electrical systems in compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with team members to execute projects efficiently and safely. Conduct inspections and troubleshooting of electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance. Utilise schematics to guide installations and repairs accurately. Assist in the installation of network systems, including Ethernet and CCTV setups. Perform equipment repairs on various hardware, including Cisco Routers and Juniper devices. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

Previous experience as a Jointer or Mate within the electrical sector is highly desirable. Proficiency in computer hardware, network installation, and computer networking is advantageous. Familiarity with Avaya systems and other related technologies is a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical schematics effectively. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on equipment repair and maintenance. A commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work is essential.
