27,107 - 29,778 (dependent on experience)

Hours:

37.5 hours per week


At The Prince of Wales Hospice, we provide specialist palliative care in a supportive and respectful environment. Our 14-bed inpatient unit, located just minutes from Junction 32 of the M62 in Pontefract, also offers outpatient and community services, including our successful Lymphoedema clinic.

About the Role

Are you a passionate and dedicated healthcare professional with experience in delivering specialist care? The Prince of Wales Hospice is seeking a

Lymphoedema Nursing Associate / Assistant Practitioner

to join our growing Lymphoedema service.


In this role, you will support patients living with lymphoedema by delivering high-quality, compassionate care - both independently and alongside our experienced Lymphoedema team. Key responsibilities will include:


Delivering treatment including skin care, compression therapy, lymphatic drainage, bandaging, pneumatic compression and kinesio-taping. Conducting unsupervised clinics for stable patients and supporting review clinics. Educating patients and carers on self-care and lifestyle practices, with a focus on prevention and long-term wellbeing. Accurately assessing and monitoring treatment outcomes. Liaising with internal and external services to ensure holistic patient support. Participating in wellbeing groups and initiatives.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will be:


Qualified Nursing Associate or equivalent in healthcare. Experienced working independently and in multidisciplinary teams. Skilled in patient communication, including those with barriers to understanding. Understanding of safe practice environments and professional boundaries.
