Stakesy's is a small established family business in Barrow-upon-Soar.

We import, manufacture and resell tools and small machinery for use in the metal fabrication industry. Our products are used by car restorers, motorcycle and race car builders, aircraft builders and anyone involved in the general shaping, cutting or forming of metal.

We deal direct with the end user and are the market leaders in a small, specialised sector of the metal fabrication tool supply industry.

Job description

We are looking for a practical, hands-on individual to join our team. This varied position includes assembling machinery, handling warehouse tasks, and assisting with general workshop duties. The role may include working alone for part of the time, so the ability to stay focused and productive independently is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble machinery and equipment according to instructions and specifications Safely lift, move, and repack boxes and components Light Fabrication work of our own products Perform basic maintenance and quality checks and repair of tools Assist with general workshop and warehouse operations
Skills & Experience

Self-motivated non smoker, with excellent time management skills Comfortable working independently for periods of time Proven ability to work with tools and mechanical components Physically capable of lifting and moving boxes and equipment Welding or engineering experience is highly advantageous but not required May particularly suit an ex-mechanic, engineer, or welder looking for a flexible roll

Pay: 13.50-15.00 per hour
