As a Machine Control Technician, youll be responsible for the installation, calibration, and maintenance of Leica machine control systems across our excavator fleet. Youll work closely with site teams and engineers to ensure optimal system performance and provide hands-on technical support to keep operations running smoothly.


Key Responsibilities:




Install, configure, and calibrate Leica machine control systems on excavators and other plant equipment. Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for operators and site teams. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure systems are aligned with project requirements. Conduct routine maintenance and diagnostics to ensure equipment reliability and accuracy. Support the rollout of new machine control technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate records of installations, service history, and system updates. Train operators and site staff on the effective use of machine control systems



What we expect from you:



BEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). Must be based in Derby or surrounding area Strong interest in site-based engineering and infrastructure projects. Willingness to learn and develop technical and professional skills. Someone who shares these values and is committed to working collaboratively, responsibly, and with pride in their work. Strong communication skills to ensure positive communication with a range of people. Positive and proactive mindset, approaches challenges with enthusiasm and has a solution focused attitude. * Keen to contribute, take ownership of tasks and grows within a supportive team.
