We're currently seeking a skilled

10T Machine Driver with Lifting Ops

to join our experienced team -- someone who takes pride in their work, operates safely, and performs to a consistently high standard on busy construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a

10-tonne excavator

safely and efficiently, following all company and site procedures Excavate

strip foundations, drainage runs, service trenches

, and general digging to accurate levels and lines Work confidently with

trench boxes, drag boxes, manhole boxes, and trench sheets

, ensuring all lifting operations are carried out safely and by the book Carry out

fine grading and finishing works

, including type 1, topsoil, and road formation to required tolerances Read and interpret

drawings, levels, and site plans

, working closely with engineers and supervisors Obtain and comply with

dig permits

before breaking ground Work safely around

live services

, demonstrating strong service-avoidance knowledge and safe digging practices Complete daily pre-start checks, maintain accurate records, and report defects or maintenance needs promptly Perform routine

greasing, cleaning, and basic machine maintenance

to keep the excavator in excellent condition Take pride and ownership in the machine's condition, ensuring it is always presented and maintained to a high standard Support the wider site team, adapting to changing priorities and managing time effectively

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

CPCS or NPORS Excavator 360 (above 10T) with Lifting Ops

5+ years' experience in groundworks, civil engineering, or excavation roles Experience with

GPS / machine control systems

(Trimble, Leica, Topcon, etc.) is highly advantageous Additional CPCS/NPORS tickets -- Telehandler, Dumper, Roller, or similar SSSTS or willingness to work towards it
