Overview:
Machine Minder (Double Day Shift)
Humdinger, Heckington
We're looking for an experienced Machine Minder to join our team. Direct experience operating and running Vertical Form Fillers (VFFS) and Multi-Head Weighing/Dispensing Machinery in a fast-paced FMCG factory environment is essential for this role.
Position Type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 40
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00 (Rotating Weekly)
Pay range: Level 1 - 13.27 per hour
Breaks: 2 x paid 20 minute breaks per shift Responsibilities:
As a Machine Minder, you'll keep production running smoothly on Vertical Form Fill & Seal (VFFS) bagging machines and multi-head weighing/dispensing machinery in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

• Operate and maintain VFFS and multi-head machines to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
• Ensure products meet quality standards every time.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and work with Engineering for repairs when needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise performance.
• Follow strict hygiene and safety practices (GHP/GMP).
• Accurately record downtime, losses, and operational issues.

Qualifications:

• Direct experience operating VFFS bagging machines and multi-head weighing/dispensing machinery in an FMCG factory setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Good knowledge of check weighers & X-Ray machines
