Glass Services Ltd

Situated on the Kingsnorth Industrial Estate, Ashford, we operate from our 30,000 sqft of modern equipped factory premises with approximately 40 full-time members of staff. We are a manufacturing company specialising processing flat glass products to the trade.

We currently have an opportunity for someone to join our factory production team. The position offers a diverse and broad spectrum of glass work and machine processing. We're seeking applicants with an eye for detail and good understanding of mechanical processes.

Duties can include, but would would not be limited to, use of grinding, polishing, drilling, and sawing sawing machinery from the start as well as the use of basic hand-tools. Good manual handing skills will also be required in the preparation, loading and unloading of glass onto machinery. With training, the ability to undertake more detailed roles with CNC machinery and processes would be a strong advantage to applicants.

The successful applicant will be part of a small and friendly production team responsible for making bespoke orders for things like balustrade panels, glass shelves, mirrors, writing boards, shower screens and anything else flat glass might be used for. - Be physically capable of manual handling materials and loads alone or as part of a team

Duties may not be limited to the outlined position. Other duties can include assisting other employees in their duties.

Applicants will need a strong understanding of sizes (using tape measure) and manual handling techniques whilst adhering to PPE requirements at all times. Training can/will be provided on the job if required.

Job Requirements:

- Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Previous experience is a strong advantage. Training will be provided, but we will only consider applicants with transferable skills and abilities. Rates of pay are dependant skill, ability and qualification applicants are able to demonstrate or achieve through training.
