We are looking for a General Machine Operative to join our friendly, hard-working team of individuals within our metal spinning department.

Our production is mass manufacturing therefore it should be noted that the role involves repetitiveness, processing hundreds of identical products each day, although opportunities may arise to learn a variety of machines and processes. We would recommend that candidates who require job variation consider this before applying.

The role is based in Audenshaw and requires you to work 40 hours per week as standard. We also expect employees to work overtime where required (such as during times of high demand and to cover annual leave, though overtime is not guaranteed) for which the hourly rate is time plus one half. Overtime is ordinarily done from 6am Mon-Fri and between 6am and 11am on Saturdays when available.

It is expected that the successful candidate will be flexible and willing to learn skills in all departments within our company if required but the main duties are as follows:

Operate machinery within our metal spinning department. Complete manufacturing paperwork accurately. Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures. Ensure cleanliness and tidiness or working area at all times. Work with team members to ensure smooth running of production.
Standard working times are 7.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 1.30pm on Friday. You will be entitled to one 20 minute paid break each day along with working brews throughout the day.

Holiday entitlement is 20 days plus Bank Holidays (pro-rata) - the Company closes down between Christmas and New Year therefore some holidays must be saved for this period.

Starting rate is from 12.91ph, going up to 13.41 on successful completion of a 13-week probationary period. (Rates of pay are reviewed annually in line with NLW and NMW increases).
