Machine Operative
Job Description
As a Machine Operative, you will play a key role within the factory working with colleagues to ensure the customer requirements are met effectively and efficiently. You will be trained on slitting and number of machines and expected to follow company policies and procedures in order to ensure the factory will be both a productive and safe environment. The successful candidate will need to be reliable, punctual, a team player and have the willingness to learn. Warehouse experience would be an advantage. This position is a physical position and requires manual handling.
Hours:- 40 per week, Monday - Friday 09.30 - 18.00 (30 min break)

Duties include:
Operating core cutter and rewind equipment Operating slitting machine Able to use lifting equipment correctly Reporting and recording all issues Meeting warehouse operational needs Contributing ideas for corrective actions Other warehouse duties as required, including running machine in other areas of the factory General tidiness and cleanliness on a daily basis Ensuring bins are emptied
Experience
Warehouse experience, advantage not essential Ability to work on own initiative Reliable Punctual Manual work Forklift Licence, advantage not essential
Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent (preferred) Machine Operator: 1 year (preferred) Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
