We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery, ensuring high-quality production standards, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor machinery, including milling machines and welding equipment, to ensure optimal performance.
Perform fabrication tasks using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CAD software, including SolidWorks for design purposes.
Conduct assembly tasks and materials handling to ensure timely production flow.
Utilise hand tools and tooling effectively to complete tasks accurately.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement necessary repairs.
Execute basic math calculations for measurements and material requirements as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience in machine operation or a related field, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles.
Familiarity with fabrication processes, including welding, milling, and assembly techniques.
Proficiency in using CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is highly desirable.
Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is an advantage.
Strong skills in materials handling and the use of hand tools.
Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also demonstrating initiative and independence when required.
