Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and passionate Machine Operator/Trainee Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess good mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various machinery within a fabrication environment. This role involves working with programmable machinery, fabrication and hand tools to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. The job will require you to occasionally attend site to assist the engineering team.

Responsibilities



Operate and monitor machinery used in the fabrication process, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Set up and adjust machines according to specifications, including lathe and CNC operations. Assisting our on site installation and fabrication team. Utilise SolidWorks and CAD software for design modifications and tooling requirements. Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Handle materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper storage and inventory management. Collaborate with team members to complete assembly tasks and meet production targets. Conduct quality checks on finished products to maintain high standards of workmanship. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to company policies regarding health and safety.

Requirements



Competence in using hand tools and materials handling equipment safely. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment, ideal but not essential. Familiarity with fabrication processes, including welding, milling, and assembly techniques, ideal but not essential. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately. Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 14.00-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 42.5 per week
