Job Description

Ward are currently recruiting for an experienced Machine Operator to join our team in Cardiff. You will be part of a hardworking team of employees who support in the recycling of over half a million tonnes of ferrous and non-ferrous metals each year. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will carry out a range of duties across the site, including loading vessels and sorting and grading stock piles.

Hours

Monday to Friday 07.00 am - 17.00 pm. Please note that occasional weekend work may be required and overtime will be paid at a higher rate.

Requirements:

The successful candidates will have experience operating plant, ideally a shovel, and ideally within the waste/scrap industry. They will be self motivated, hardworking, team players who are able to work occasional weekends as required. Duties will include:

Operate shovel and other plant in a safe, competent manner Monitor materials and report and non-acceptable material items Reform material pile to ensure most effective grab volume Maintain clean and safe work environment
