Machine Setter Operator

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Setter Operator to work with us on a permanent basis.

The Machine Operator is responsible for all aspects of machine operation and changeover activities to achieve and maintain quality and to ensure efficiency along the production line.

Shifts: either 5.45am - 6pm - 5 days per week in Sunday - flexibility required Saturday off and 1 day in the week

Pay: 13.50

Duties:

Setting and operating machinery, specifically the flow wrapping machine Ensure equipment is set up to the relevant specification and to monitor product quality as required. Loading and unloading machines Undertake fault finding activities when equipment problems occur and conduct a repair where possible. Ensure minimum wastage of materials through effective machine operation. Checking machine efficiency and quality General production work. Following specific recipe mixtures and measures to make the successful, recognisable products Awareness of health and safety, COSHH, etc

Skills

Previous experience on flow wrapping machine desirable Basic maintenance and good problem-solving abilities You have working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery within a food manufacturing environment You demonstrate an understanding of production procedures and best practise Able to cope with working in a chilled environment Operating the food processing machinery The ability to follow set procedures and work at a fast pace. Computer literate Attention to details and ability to work to deadlines
