Machine Operative

We are currently looking for a Machine Operative to join our team at Heritage Trimmings. This role is a key part of our small Interior Trimmings manufacturing company, specifically within the weave department.

As a Machine Operative, you will report directly to the Production Manager and will also collaborate closely with the design team on various projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

Setting up and changing over production machinery.
Following job specifications accurately.
Picking yarn.
Performing regular quality checks to ensure high standards.
Working closely with all other departments.
Ensuring the production process is effective and economical.
Maintaining an organised and clean workspace at all times.
Liaising with managers and senior management.
Demonstrating strong numeracy skills.
In addition, you will be expected to:

Develop and maintain professional relationships with colleagues.
Support the production process by encouraging and assisting others when needed.
Work towards production targets and provide early indications of any issues that might affect deadlines.
Organise and manage your time effectively to ensure well-planned and cost-efficient operations.
Keep the Design Team updated on any changes to delivery dates and maintain regular contact with them.
Take on any other duties commensurate with the role.
Be prepared to work across different departments as required.
Demonstrate good timekeeping.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 33 per week
