We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented and dedicated individual to join our Leominster team as a

Machine Operator

. The successful candidate will play a key role in the production of high-quality food products and delivering excellence to our customers.

What You'll Do



Work as part of a team to achieve production targets and maintain quality, escalating issues quickly to avoid disruptions.

Plan and coordinate tasks and materials.

Train and assess team members in relevant tasks.

Keep activity logs and communicate problems and solutions.

Follow instructions from Unit leaders and Management.

Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic work environment, adhering to "clean as you go" practices.

Perform online quality checks, including CCP checks like metal detection, to ensure compliance with specifications.

Follow procedures to consistently produce quality products.

Ensure machines are cleaned, set up, and maintained for efficient operation.

Set up, run, and optimise equipment to meet product specifications and deadlines.

Transfer products and materials between stages to meet targets.

Inspect products regularly and seek guidance when needed.

Complete records accurately and on time.

Understand equipment and systems to diagnose and resolve issues within guidelines.

Escalate safety, quality, delivery, or wastage concerns and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Assist with capital projects and new product development.

In addition, and of the above attributes will be a distinct advantage:

Food Hygiene qualification (level 2 minimum)

Basic understanding of HACCP principles

Understanding of production procedures

Machine Operator experience in Food Manufacturing

Knowledge of D365 system

Analytical skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.76-13.14 per hour

Expected hours: 36.5 per week

GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
