Job Description

ADE Power Ltd is a leading provider of high-quality power solutions, specialising in the design, manufacture, and installation of bespoke generators and associated systems. We're currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our Prep Team. This hands-on role involves operating a range of metalworking machinery to prepare components for fabrication and paint, and is ideal for someone with experience in sheet metal processing and a passion for precision.

Responsibilities



Operate guillotine, press brake, CNC plasma cutter, and band saw machinery to prepare metal components. Work out cut sizes from 2D drawings and sketches. Set up and adjust machines according to production plans and technical drawings. Load and unload materials safely and efficiently. Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment. Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Complete relevant paperwork and production records. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Follow all site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Requirements



Previous experience operating guillotine, press brake, CNC plasma, or band saw machinery is desirable but not essential. Ability to read and interpret 2D technical drawings. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication and workshop safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and prolonged periods of standing, lifting, and carrying.
The working hours for this position are 40 hours per week, from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday and from 7am to 1pm on Friday. The business is closed for Bank Holidays, we also enjoy a shutdown every Christmas until after the New Year.
