Job Description

The General Operator position is a varied role covering different areas within the Factory. The key area will be within the Sorting Department, but will include other areas as indicated below. The individual will need to be flexible to support the cross function of this position.

Sorting Operative

- This position covers all aspects of cosmetic pin cleaning, scrap separating and sorting, using manual and automatic sorters plus all other types of sorting methods for coiled pins and tubular product.

Heat Treatment

- This position is directly responsible for heat treating products as assigned in compliance with all respective procedures. Responsible for insuring that the product is heat treated to specifications and for meeting all productivity standards on a consistent basis. It will be the direct responsibility of the Heat Treater to operate the equipment in compliance with OSHA requirements and monitor and perform functions to ensure EPA and DEP compliance.

Packer

- This position is responsible for the packing of completed production orders so they can be placed into stock. The parts may be hand packed, or packed using automated equipment. The packer will ensure all SPIROL and customer packing requirements have been met and that the packed parts are labeled correctly and in the correct quantities. It is essential that lines clearances are performed per procedures and that packing accuracy is 100%.

Picker

- This position is responsible for picking orders from the warehouse by following the instructions on the packing slip and delivering the orders to the shippers who will then process it for shipment. It is vital that the picker quickly and accurately locates and picks the correct stock. The picker will re-stock unused parts and place back on location.

Shipper

- This position is responsible for the packing and preparation of product for shipment. They will receive product from the picker and re-pack and re-label if required. They will then process the order ready for shipment ensuring that the shipment weights are marked on the packing slip. They will work to ensure all customer requirements are met and that product is 100% accurately packed and shipped.

General

- This position is a varied role and will involve working within other departments; these will include, but not be limited to heat treatment, packing, picking and shipping. The role is cross functional and therefore requires adaptability to support the variety of duties as instructed from the responsible Manager. An easy going character and the ability to display sound judgement and able to take instruction is a requirement.

To ensure the correct setting of the various bowl types, manual and automatic, are set in accordance to procedures and work instructions. Responsible for the removal of all damaged and defective product. To ensure all routing stages are booked through Trancollector To operate the department equipment, processing the components To monitor and maintain records of all process conditions as laid out in the works instructions. Packing of finished product according to packing instructions, box sizes and box quantities. Location of packed goods into the stores. Picking of product from the stores ready for dispatch Preparation of goods for dispatch and loading of goods for dispatch Ensuring that all goods are placed in collection area for external carriers Moving raw material to location and booking into system Stock control through cycle checking of both finished goods and raw material Receiving sub contract work, performing inspection as required and distribution to appropriate areas for further processing To receive WIP product from the various production area's within the factory and store within the designated area. To ensure all cosmetic products are clean and all testing has been carried out. Processing these parts through the scrap separator and sorting operations. To maintain the work areas that you work within to the highest possible standards of cleanliness and tidiness. * Any other duties as may be reasonably requested
